LZW is the most common and most compatible TIFF compression; Deflate (ZIP) is often smaller and opens in Photoshop, GIMP, LibreOffice and macOS Preview, though some old fax or print software lacks it; uncompressed files are the largest (width × height × channels bytes) but every program reads them. Both compressions use the horizontal differencing predictor to shrink files.

透明背景会保留吗？Is transparency kept?

勾选“保留透明”时，带透明的图片会写成带 Alpha 通道（ExtraSamples = 非预乘 Alpha）的 TIFF；不勾选或图片本身没有透明时，透明处填充白色，写成普通 RGB 或灰度 TIFF。不需要透明的印刷和传真流程，建议取消勾选。With Keep transparency ticked, images that have transparency are written as TIFFs with an alpha channel (ExtraSamples = unassociated alpha). Unticked, or for images without transparency, transparent areas are filled with white and a plain RGB or grayscale TIFF is written. For print and fax workflows that do not need transparency, untick it.

DPI 有什么用？What does the DPI do?

DPI 只写入文件的分辨率信息（XResolution / YResolution），像素不会改变，决定打印或排版时图片的物理尺寸：例如 3000 像素宽、300 DPI 打印出来是 10 英寸。默认 300 只是示例（常见的印刷分辨率），请填写需要的整数值，范围 1–10000。DPI is only written into the file's resolution tags (XResolution / YResolution); pixels are not changed. It sets the physical size when printing or laying out: 3000 px wide at 300 DPI prints 10 inches wide. The default of 300 is only an example (a common print resolution); enter the whole number you need, from 1 to 10000.

合并为多页 TIFF 是什么？What does merging into a multi-page TIFF do?

勾选后，转换完成会出现“下载多页 TIFF”按钮，把所有图片按拖入顺序存成一个多页 TIFF（最多 200 页），常用于传真和扫描归档；每张图片仍可单独下载。When ticked, a Download multi-page TIFF button appears after conversion and saves all images, in the order you added them, as one multi-page TIFF (up to 200 pages) — common for faxing and scan archives. Each image can still be downloaded on its own.
